Rough-In Construction Process
Roughing-in a property follow a step-by-step process to ensure your plumbing system is constructed correctly.
1. Excavate and Lay Main Lines:Â Â The first step involves digging the trenches for water and drain lines to connect the home to the water and drain lines from utility providers.
2. Measure and Drill Drains:  We measure the correct placement for drains according to your design. Shower, sink, toilet and laundry drains each have their own specifications. We ensure the correct specifications are utilized and install the drain lines and flanges.
3. Install Venting:  For plumbing to function properly, vent lines will need to be install alongside the drain lines. During this step, we ensure these vent lines are installed and vented to the outside of your structure.
4. Run Water Lines:Â Â The next step involves installing the water lines to each of your fixtures: sinks, showers, tubs, toilets, laundry, wet bars, outdoor spigots, outdoor kitchens, and any additional areas needing water.
5. Support Plumbing Equipment:Â Â Provide the necessary support for water heaters, water softeners, sump pump, and boilers based on blueprints.
6. Complete Tie-Ins:Â Â Connect water lines, drain lines, and vent stacks to complete the whole system tie-ins.
7. Connect and Test the System:  Cap open lines, install a main shut-off valve, and test for leaks. Fix any issues before drywall installation.
8. Other Trades Complete Finishes:Â We step away from the project temporarily and let the other trades install and finish out the floors, walls, and cabinetry.
9. Provide Finish Out Plumbing: After the walls are installed and painted, floors installed, and cabinets installed, we return to install the plumbing finishes. We install the faucets, shower heads, toilets and any additional plumbing fixtures that need to be installed.
