Well Pressure Tanks and Booster Pumps
A well pressure tank with a booster pump is the best option for keeping your home water pressure regulated. When your booster pump goes out, you’ll find yourself with a trickle of water or low water pressure.
The pressure tank holds a small amount of water, 30-100 gallons, under pressure are ready for transport to your home. The booster pump pushes the water to the faucets on demand. Both of these work together to give you the plumbing experience that you desire in your home.
At Olde Town Plumbing we have plumbers who can repair your well booster pump or install a new booster or pressure tank when you need it. We help keep your water flowing properly from the well supply line all the way to your plumbing fixtures.
Give us a call if you have a well booster or pressure tank that needs attention.
Well Booster Pumps & Your Water
The well water supplied to your home travels through multiple pieces of equipment to provide you with a satisfying plumbing experience. First, water is drawn from the well by a submersible pump and travels to the surface. A well drilling expert will determine the best equipment and depth for your well and will replace this submersed pump when necessary.
After the water reaches the surface, it travels to the home through a main water supply line. Generally, the supply line will be directed to a well house or garage where there is a pressure tank and a booster pump.
The pressure tank and the booster pump will help to push the water to the home where, in Central Texas, it should enter a water softener before being routed to either the water heater or the cold-water faucets.
A whole house water filter should also be installed before or after the water softener depending on your water content. Water with high sediment content requires the filter before the softener while water with a higher hardness rating (calcium and magnesium) should have the softener placed first.
Our Olde Town Plumbers can replace or repair all the plumbing and equipment that is at the surface from the water supply line to the pressure tank to the softener and water heater.
